Cannot change Site Description/Tagline

    I cannot get the Site Description/Tagline to change. Despite having changed it in both the Customize area as well as in the General Settings area to a new Description (“Building Resilient Communities”), it remains set to a previous Site Description (“Sustainable Permaculture Design & Beyond”).

    I have disabled all plugins and the problem persists, so they are not the culprit. And when I switch to another theme like Twenty Sixteen, the new Description shows up like it is supposed to – so it appears to be an issue related to the Renden theme directly.

    I’ve never encountered this issue before. Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks!

    Ok, a kind person on Reddit solved this for me. You need to go into Customize > Theme Options > General Settings to change the Description/Tagline.
