I am brand new at this and have the stock WP site loaded (which was loaded automatically rather than manually).

The first thing I am trying to do is remove the tagline that shows on my webpage. It will not go away, even if I type something else there. I have “refreshed” (I’m on a mac and actually “reloading”).

What on earth is the issue. This is the stock WP theme. Please help! LOL!

    Thank you!

Are you changing it in the Settings in admin?

Yes – it is the first thing I did was to follow the directions and go to Admin & Settings. If I delete it, save and refresh its still there. If I type something new, save and refresh the old “Another WP site!” is still there.

Do you see it on the link (http://dothewill.com) – I tried adding the link and I see it doesn’t show up in the first post.

    Thanks

It is showing up fine for me. You probably need to clear your cache.

I just did and it worked thanks so much – but do I need to do that every time I change something? I’d be dumping the cache every minute as I’m testing out changes….yikes!

If you are using IE you can hit Shift+F5 to completely refresh. If you are using Firefox hold down the shift key and click the refresh icon.

It’s always one of the first things to check when changes don’t appear to take place. Usually, caching is the culprit.

    Thank you both so much!
