    Hello,
    I was trying to connect to admin during an attack – using my login – and Login Security Solution did not allowed me to connect myself. It asked me to demand another password and I get alert emails warning me that someone (well, myself) was automatically deconnected.

    Desactivating the plugin via FTP solves the problem but there is some form of bug if regular admin cannot connect to admin because of the plugin.

    Three potential scenarios. 1) you have some program, editor, or whatever, that’s making API calls to your WP site, but is using the wrong password. 2) You were attacked and compromised. 3) You typed in the wrong username/password too many times.

    Regardless, the plugin is operating as expected. Use the password reset process. It will remember your IP address, and you shouldn’t be bothered again.

    Well, it’s an automatic fill of the fiels through Firefox’ Secure Login extension so it’s definitely not 3.
    1.I don’t use any program of this sort.
    2.you should develop. Why should I be deconnected as my password is the good password -and a very strong password ?

    I’m not a programmer but I use WP for several years, manage a blog about WP plugin, I’m very interested in WP and I am not convinced by this behavior. How an admin with good login and password can be blocked by a security plugin ?

    By the way, I use on this site Simple History plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/simple-history/ that lists all log in and there is no bad logger listed.

    If you’re multi-site super admin, you cannot do the password reset process. It says ‘not allowed’.
    I turned off by renaming the plug-in folder. Even after logging back in and then re-enabling the plugin, it immediately locks me out again.
    Not too happy about that.

    @li-an: I can’t say what’s happening on your computer and server without seeing the logs.

    @acwporg: That’s a separate discussion, start a new thread.
