Worth a go:
On your computer, get the command prompt up, and type this:
ipconfig /flushdns
and try visiting.
Any joy ?

No – already tried that Podz. It is weird. I can connect to ftp and email sends/receives although I am not 100% sure that is working. I have had no email for several hours and allowing for spam – this just doesn’t happen.
Can you access the sites?

I can indeed …. nothing you played with just before this ? Tried any other browsers ?

I have tried IE and FF and no luck on either. I cannot even access the domain home site ie, Lunarpages or their helpdesk, so no idea what is going on.
It’s not specific to this machine either because it happening on 3 separate machines here. One of these has never visited os42.com before and it still cannot get through. I have no trouble with any other sites at all.
Strange…and very Ffff…ing frustrating!
Have you got a htaccess in place that could be causing a problem ?
Rename it / back it up / delete it ?
Can you ping your site ?
From a Windows command prompt, try these commands:
ping os42.com
You should get a response like this:
Pinging os42.com [216.193.194.215] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 216.193.194.215: bytes=32 time=157ms TTL=56
Reply from 216.193.194.215: bytes=32 time=176ms TTL=56

Reply from 216.193.194.215: bytes=32 time=163ms TTL=56
Ping statistics for 216.193.194.215:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 157ms, Maximum = 176ms, Average = 168ms
If you get that, then at least your DNS is working.
Other possible responses are “unknown host”, or a suggestion that you got the name wrong – if that happens, the problem is your DNS – or more likely your ISP’s DNS.
If you get a series of “request timed out” responses, this means your DNS is fine (otherwise your computer wouldn’t be finding the IP address from the name), but there is a problem getting from your computer to your sites. Try this command:
tracert os42.com
You should get a series of numbers and host names, ending in “trace complete”. If you get timeouts, or it never gets to the final destination, the problem is routing.
You’d need to take that up with your ISP.

Thanks for all these suggestions.
As it stands, I can ping my domain and tracert works too. I can ftp and I am receiving email.
I just cannot get access via http which would suggest a browser issue, but this is happening on 3 separate machines – one of which has never visited os42.com previously so it cannot be a cache issue at all.
To be honest, I thought it might resolve itself but it would appear this is not to be.
Any ideas???

Ok, I have tried installing Opera too now and still no connection.
This is driving me insane. Anyone have any ideas???
HELLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP – please 🙂
No problems connecting here either. If I were you (I assume you’re a teacher), I’d check my site at school tomorrow. If it loads there and doesn’t load when I get back home, I’d call my ISP.

Thanks macmanx. It’s a weird one. I can’t get to anything to do with lunarpages at all, even lunarpages.com.
I do not see any reason why my isp would have changed anything to block this but I am getting a bit desperate now.
Unfortunately, I am away for 3 days, so it will have to wait.
