    Hi,
One of the key features for me in this plugin has been the ability to control access to documents by setting user role types for individual documents in the Contributors area. By setting the file status to private and then adding a user role, e.g. author, or subscriber, I was able to select which files were visible to which type of user. This functionality appears to no longer work. Setting documents to private now removes access for everyone, setting it to public opens access to everyone. Adding a role to the contributors field doesn’t seem to do anything.

Do you have any suggestions on how to control user (role) access at the document level?

I’ll take a look at this, but you are right if you make a file private it should be visible to all users and or roles that have contributor status.

It sounds like a bug I will have a look.

Can you tell me if the administrator role still has access to all the files no matter the state.

    Hi,
Yes all files are accessible to the administrator.

    Thanks for checking into this.
