I was trying to add an embedded form onto my website but there was no code to copy in the MailChimp dashboard. I have seen the codes in the past but today there was no code on any of the forms. Classic, naked, super slim, horizontal etc.

I have written MailChimp but no one has answered me about that I think because I have a free account. Is anyone else having the same issue???

    thank you for your help!

  • Hey Sandra,

Thanks for reaching out. To clarify a bit, we reserve this forum for supporting the MailChimp List Subscribe form exclusively, but I’ll be happy to get you going in the right direction.
The MailChimp embedded form code for each of the styles mentioned can be accessed in your MailChimp account by navigating to your lists page, clicking the drop down next to the list you’d like to work with, and selecting Signup forms. From there, you’ll want to click “Select” next to the Embedded form option. Once that is clicked it will be possible to choose between the available form options and the relevant form code will display on that page underneath the form preview. That should clear some things up, but if you have any other questions beyond that please feel free to reply back with the ticket code assigned to your support request (should begin with LTK) and a member of our support team can reply back directly there.

    Cheers!

Thank you Pearl for your response but I never received a response or a support ticket! So that’s why I came to ask here since it was pertaining to a MailChimp Subscribe form.

I am familiar with how to use the MailChimp dashboard to make sign up forms and I know how to get there. The problem is there is no “Select” button to embed the code that is why I was trying to find out why or what has happened in the dashboard.

    Hey Sandra,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to investigate matters unrelated to the MailChimp List Subscribe Form Plugin for WordPress. For issues relating to MailChimp features that are unrelated to the plugin, the best way to get those resolved would be through MailChimp’s support directly. However, I want to do everything I can for you here so I checked MailChimp’s knowledge base and found a couple of articles that should help out here:

These articles break down how to go from the MailChimp app to your website and add your embedded signup form, as well as steps for troubleshooting the form if you’re seeing issues there:
Add a Signup Form to Your Website: http://eepurl.com/b2Q-zf
Troubleshooting the Embedded Signup Form: http://eepurl.com/b2Q-DP

You can also send a screenshot of what you’re seeing to [email protected] and I can see what we can do here about getting that information passed into MailChimp’s support channels.

    Thanks!

I know what the problem was! I found out…

If the browser window is pulled open too wide the code disappears from the MailChimp dashboard. I use a macbook with the El Capitan operating system.

For some reason the next time when I logged in to MailChimp the window was smaller and I was able to see the code. When I expanded it it disappeared again. After I adjusted the browser window I could see the code to copy it into my web page. The subscriber form works perfect!

Thank you for trying to help me! 🙂

    Hey Sandra,

I’m glad to hear that you were able to get that all sorted! We hope you have an excellent week ahead of yourself.

    Warmest regards,

    Pearl
