    Hi,

The engagements menu in my lifter looks different to the one shown on Lifter engagements overview page https://lifterlms.com/docs/engagements-overview/ and the engagements do tot work.

Created and published a certificate but when I go to select an engagement drop down menu, there is nothing there.

Triggering event menu only lists letters ‘S’ (i have not got any lessons in my course called just ‘S’

Engagement type menu only lists letters ‘A’ (again not sure where this ‘A’ is coming from)

    Anyone could possible help?

  • @alexz19,

I am sorry for this issue and usually it points to having LifterLMS running on a server using PHP version 5.3 or lower. We do not try to maintain backwards compatibility this far as there are some tremendously large security issues with using PHP versions this old as they are no longer maintained since they reached their end of life.

You should be able to upgrade to php 5.6 (or 7, would be better!) via your site’s cPanel (if you have one). If not you’ll want to reach out to your webhost’s support and request an upgrade. They should be quick to help you out!

For more info on our system requirements you can read our docs here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/minimum-system-requirements-lifterlms/

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks Thomas,

you were correct I am on php 5.3.3

Once it’s updated to 5.6 or 7 will that automatically fix the issues with lifter?

    Thanks,

    Alex

Sure will. Go with 7, it’s better 😀
