  • I suspect that’s because they want you to pay for the plugin. That is rude.

    Hey Doyatthinkdoy and mythusmage,

Our free version has a limit of 2 full courses 🙂

Since you’re on step 2, that means you haven’t hit that limit yet as it won’t let you get to that point if you have.

Are you seeing any errors Doyatthinkdoy? What happens when you try to go to step 2? Any more information you can provide will help a lot to troubleshoot the issue 🙂

Look forward to hearing back. Hope you’re having a great weekend!

    All the best,
    Tyler

    hello there,

i thought i have the same problem but the point was to hit the “next” button instead of jumping direkt to the step 2.

anyway, my question is… Is it possible for me later to seperte the courses in three or four areas? You know i will create four links in the TopNavigation: CoursesA, CoursesB, CoursesC and CoursesD. So when i create a course in the overall courselist then i need to be able to set up a course area where this course belongs to and will be displayed on the homepage. So i need a areaID (for coursesA, coursesB etc) and ofcourse a courseID for every course. I know if yes then in the pro-version. But is it available in the proVersion?

And how about a upload/import function. I can not create and manage 150 courses weekly.

    Cheers
    Joerg

    Hi,

It is my first course, so I haven’t crossed the limit of courses in the free version. The problem is that when I click on the ‘Next’ button to proceed to the second step, nothing happens. Absolutely nothing!

I thought may be the page is hanging, but it isn’t that. The page responds, only nothing happens when the ‘Next’ button is pressed.

Could it be something in my database that causes the problem, something that is not related to the CoursePress Plugin?

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks n Regards
    Doyan Wilfred

Actually i am pretty new in wordpress. but my problem was that i was not able to install the plugin through the install function in wordpress.
so i just unzipped and copied the folder via filezilla in the plugin folder. and then i opened the site .. went to dashboard, plugins and it was there, then i just activated the plugin and i was able to test.
maybe you try it also this way.

    hope this helps!

    Hey @doyathinkdoy,

Hope you’re doing well today! Would you be able to post a screencast of this? So we can see it happening? It sounds like there could be a js error happening somewhere. You can try deactivating all your plugins except CoursePress then trying again 🙂

    @joergkreklau

Is it possible for me later to seperte the courses in three or four areas?

I’m not sure what you mean by this, each course will have it’s own area(page) and that’s where the users will go to progress through the course, there will also be discussion boards for each course too 🙂

You can use shortcodes to display your courses wherever you like. Shortcodes are located via CoursePress > Settings > Shortcodes.

Hopefully I didn’t misunderstand the question!

    Cheers,

    Hi all,

Thanks for all your help. I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it. The issue is solved now.

I might not have installed it correctly the first time.
