We are running google maps 8.1.11 and maps pro 8.1.10, on WordPress 5.7.2.

We are unable to add new markers; the Apache logs show
    “POST /wp-json/wpgmza/v1/markers/ HTTP/1.1” 404
and there’s nothing in the error logs; nor is there anything in the javascript console. I’ve tried going in to “developer mode” as suggested here.

I have found that there’s a “latlng” column in the wpgmza table – should this be removed?

I found two unwanted RewriteRules in the .htaccess. Removing these fixed the problem.

For the archives – always check that Permalink Settings is set to “Post Name” and check that the suggested .htaccess file corresponds to what you have in place.
