Hello thanks for your feedback unfortunately BuddyBoss is a premium theme, so unless his author send me a copy of it, i cannot figure out what’s going wrong with the plugin.
BP checkins should work with most WordPress theme as it benefits from the BuddyPress theme compat feature. It also includes a fallback for BP default theme / child themes. And if a standalone BuddyPress theme is using add_theme_support( ‘buddypress’) it should also work.
What you describe is although weird as it means the ajax Query string is not taking in account the place filter, it doesn’t seem to be a template issue, but a bp_ajax_querystring one. Have you installed a new plugin that is playing with activity ?
Sorry i can’t help you more on this one, but it’s hard for me to buy every premium theme to check them 🙁
hello,
thanks for your reply. i understand that it s not possible to purchase every premium theme but if you like can give you full access to my community… if it is ok i will post your answer to the plugin developer so maybe he can find a solution…
thanks for your help
update:
i just set up a testversion on the same server with exactly the same plugins and the same theme and bp checkins worked perfect.
what do i have to do to remove checkins completely and set it up again. which database tables and entries can be deleted?
another update… i noticed that the custom fields for places adresses aso are not created. i did it manually but that also didnt work. then i deleted every checkin entry in the database and reinstalled the plugin. there i got this message
as mentioned above the plugin is working perfect on my test page with exactly the same theme and plugins….
Ok, i’ll check the error on activation (just translated the german message you paste above).
To remove bp-checkins, simply deactivate it then remove it using the WordPress link, you’ll have a message informing you that the plugin will try to remove its datas.
BP Checkins only creates a table in order to add a meta field capability to categories. Otherwise it uses custom post types and custom taxonomies.
Hope you’ll find the key to the trouble.
Hi, did you manage to solve this. I’m using the same theme and having the same trouble.
