Cannot create working child theme

First off, excellent theme. I really appreciate your style.

…deleted rest of post. I’m new to SiteGround and they have a SuperCacher which I enabled. I was getting wildly inconsistent results which makes sense now why I couldn’t see results more quickly when I changed child-theme styles… doh.
