    Hello

I installed the recaptcha plugin even though it said it had not been verified for my version.

first I had an issue where it displayed 2 forms. I deactivated and it at least made 1 go away, but now I can not remove it from my wordpress site. I have tried deactivating. Deleting and no luck. It is still there. I tried reinstalling and deactivating and still there. How do I make it go away please?

    Thanks

I’m pretty sure you have the wrong reCaptcha plugin as ours won’t cause these kinds of issues.

Still, if you need to deactivate a plugin and it’s not working, you can always delete the directory that contains the plugin itself from wp-content/plugins on your website filesystem. People often use ftp/sftp for this. Don’t delete the entire plugins directory of course–just the directory containing the plugin that is misbehaving.

    Hope that helps!

    Best,
    Robert

    Hi Robert
Thanks for the quick reply. This is the correct plugin and I tried deleting the folder by FTP. any other suggestions?

Hmm… if you deleted the correct plugin folder it is absolutely impossible that the plugin folder you deleted is causing the behaviour that you are experiencing. The code does not exist anywhere outside that directory.

Have a look at the official WordPress troubleshooting guide — https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Troubleshooting

The first thing you’ll want to do is deactivate as many plugins as you can and switch to the default (twentyseventeen) theme.

Good luck! Hope you find the culprit.

It seems very likely that you have a second reCaptcha plugin activated (especially if you were seeing two before deactivating this one, and are now seeing one). Good luck!
