Cannot define my pretty permalinks

    If I set in “permalinks setting” the option “Post name” the site disappear (error 404). The only option working is “default”.
    I have the polylang plugin with the following Settings options checked:
    – The language is set from the code in the URL
    – Hide URL language information for default Language
    – When the front page is visited, set the language according to the browser preference
    The Others options are disabled.

    The only option working is “default”.

    If the default setting works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure again.

    Thanks. I reworked my config files and now it works.
    I’ve forgot to create .htaccess and to apply the correct chmod profile in the wp directory.
    I was unsure where to place FollowSymLinks and AllowOverride All.
    I had to put it in tha etc/apache2/sites-available/000-defaulp.conf file and not in the wp-directory
