    So the name of the game is to not listen to the request of your customers when they explicitly tell you not to do anything without a backup?

    These forums are for supporting the free opensource code such as WordPress, the themes and plugins hosted here. If you have some sort of dispute with the plugin author then please take it somewhere else.
