Cannot download backup

    Hi there,

    I am trying to download my latest Backup job but it doesn’t work.

    Could you please help?

    Hello frenchwizard,

    can you try it using another browser like firefox or directly via FTP? You will find your backups normally in wp-content/upload/backups.

    Hi Andreas,

    I am already using, Firefox. It normally works. It actually does work with other Backup jobs, jut not the one I need! Is there anything I can do so it works again?

    And pardon my ignorance but what is FTP?

    Did you try it using another browser too? About FTP. Do you have a cpanel provided by your hoster? If yes please have a look if you can see any menu what’s called FTP or WebFTP. Normally you can click on it to browser to your files directly.

    Ok.

    I tried Google Chrome and even Safari. I don’t just need to access my files, I really want to download the back up before I update the site.

    @aweissinpsyde I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
