    Hello,

I am using byethost freehosting as I am running a not-for-profit website, and I am not able to download the export file after it’s finished creating.

When I try to click the bouncing download button, the save file window pops up however about 2 seconds after I get a message saying:

/Ozvr3XID.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

    I’ve tried adding

    AddType application/octet-stream .wpress

to my .htaccess file as recommended in your knowledge base but this does not fix the issue.

Does this plugin not work with freehosting? I would like to create backups in case I ever want to reinstall the site or move to paid hosting in the future.

    Thanks

I’ve actually logged into my hosting via FTP and managed to find the .wpress file in a folder called ai1wm-backups and download it that way, could someone please confirm that this file is safe to use?

It has exactly the same file-name and file-size as the backup that previously failed to download via the plugin export screen I mentioned previously, which leads me to believe it is the same, but if someone from the plugin dev team can confirm that this ai1wm-backups folder is where valid backups are stored after running an export it would put my mind at ease.

Yes, the file from wp-content/ai1wm-backups is the backup that you need.
