    Hi,

I’ve been working on my website recently, but suddenly I can’t access my theme editor via the Appearance menu (that sub-menu has completely vanished, and using the URL returns a ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’ error). It also seems to affect some core pages e.g. if I try to edit Woocommerce store page, it returns a 404 error – but I can edit normal pages.

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, and even tried clearing all my functions.php edits via FTP but that doesn’t make any difference. Not sure what the issue could be?

    Thanks.

Also try switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks – I switched to ‘Twenty Fifteen’, the issue remains.

I recommend asking at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Thanks, I will try that – do you reckon it’s Woocommerce related? It’s very likely.
