same problem only with 25.8 (i have premium yoast also). i get error 500 when click edit post! . when back to 25.7 version, everything will be normal .
Hi Hassan
Thank you for your answer. I just got back to version 25.7 and now it works again. It would be good to fix this bug in the next version.
Best regards
Beatrice
I’m sorry about your experience. Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
Can you please inform us of the results, so we can help you figure out what the problem is?
Hi Maybellyne
Thank you very much for getting back to us. I tested the whole thing on my develper site and there it works fine with the existing plugins and theme. Do you think it has something to do with the hosting provider or the migration I did manually?
Best regards
Beatrice
Hello Beatrice,
Do you have the same setup as the live site? Please confirm that the live site meets the plugin requirements. Also, you can delete the plugin and reinstall it. Your existing SEO settings remain intact in your WordPress database tables.
Hi Maybellyine
Thank you for your answer. The setting is the same as on the live site regarding php, MySQL and WordPress version. Also the plugins and the theme are the same types and versions. The plugin requirements are also met. I have already tried to delete the plugin and reinstalled it, but the issue has not been resolved.
Best regards
Beatrice
Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum. You could consider purchasing a Yoast SEO Premium subscription since it comes with email support. Then we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately.
Hi Maybelline
I just cleared the broswer cache and all the cookies and now it works again with the latest version. Before I just cleared the cache.
Best regards
Beatrice
I also updatet PHP memory limit this leads also to WordPress errors. Now it works again perfect.
