    Hello everyone!
I posted this over in the s2Member Support, yet I am totally clueless as to if it is an issue with WP-FB-Autoconnect or with s2Memeber.

All insights would be grately appreciated!

I am trying to edit a user’s Role.
I would like to set this user up as Level #1.

Yet if I select Level #1 from the User’s dropdown menu, then click “Update User” at the bottom… the setting does not “stick”.

When the User’s page reloads, the role is back to “Subscriber”.

    This user registered via Facebok.

Is this problem a setting I have modified in error?

    Thank you for your help!

    Additional Information:
If I edit a user that has NOT been registered via WP-FB-Autoconnect, I am able to change the Role without a problem.

Not sure where to start to track this down.

If I click “Disassociate from Facebook” in the User’s Profile, I get the message:

    Invalid user ID.

WP hasn’t used levels since prior to 2.0 (released in 2005); see https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Roles_and_Capabilities#User_Levels. Any level-selection dropdown at this point must be exclusive to s2Member (which I’m not especially familiar with).

Whenever my plugin autoregisters a user, that user gets the “Subscriber” role (unless you have the premium addon, in which case it will get whichever role you select in the premium settings). As I’ve yet to hear of any issues or conflicts relative to this, it seems extremely likely that s2Member is doing something nonstandard, and thus, they would need to be the ones to respond. Perhaps it’s simply a matter of calling an s2Member-specific hook when a user is autoregistered, but unfortunately I wouldn’t know what that is.

(The “Invalid user ID” message is an even stronger indicator that s2Member is doing some strange stuff – this really shouldn’t even be possible, unless they’re hooking in and modifying things in unexpected ways…)

Since I haven’t heard back in 2 weeks, marking this as resolved – feel free to reopen & provide additional info if not 🙂
