• Using NextGen 2.0.33 (upgraded from previous 1.x version)

When trying to edit a thumbnail using “Edit thumb” from within the gallery, a window pops up and is blank, except for a cross top right. Using FireBug I see the error:

    “NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://www.{domain name}/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/admin/edit-thumbnail.php?id=3408”

I checked that the edit thumbnail file exists and in phpmyadmin that the id exists.

There are nearly 2000 images in the galleries so reinstalling isn’t really an option here.

@djadan – You can manually re-install via FTP by uploading and over-writing the existing version with another version.

This article is about rolling back to an older version but the premise is the same for any manual (re)installation of the plugin: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/how-to-rollback-a-version/

Give that a try … if you are still having issues please feel free to submit a Bug Report (http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) and we will continue to try and help you sort this out.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais

I did an update – copied files over ftp and replaced the existing folder. The 404 in the console is the only error I see. I have been turning off other plugins but it makes no difference.

    Thanks

@djadan – Thanks … have you submitted a Bug Report, yet?

    Hi Cais
I sent a bug report. But having checked on another version of this site on our dev server, it does work. Were there any database updates that should have occurred between version 1.9… and 2.0.33 ?
    Just a thought.

    Dan
