Cannot enable or add author categories

Hi, we have been using the plugin for showing multiple authors, but want to also show a Reviewed By or Editor on all Posts. We can’t however seem to Enable any additional Author Categories.

Is there a known bug/conflict for this?

No, there is no known issue for Author Categories yet. Can you elaborate more on how it behaves on your site?

The category would Enable after selecting Enable from the Quick Edit option, then it would briefly enable and then disable…

Just now however, after clearing Caching, it seems to remain enabled. But a new issue has appeared:

I’ve managed to add myself as an Editor, after enabling the Editor category successfully, then I added myself to this article https://www.telltalesonline.com/61659/maya-henry-statement/ but nothing reflects. It seems I’m still down as a second Author… Maybe it’s because we use Elementor, where we have placed a shortcode [publishpress_authors_box layout=”ppma_boxes_56799″] at the top of the article?

We did not see this issue in our testing. Can you please do basic troubleshooting like disable all plugins to check if there is any plugin conflict?

Yes, please change the layout with the author box categories layout:

Thanks, that seems to work fine now.

A new problem came about now where no posts are appearing on my main author profile: https://www.telltalesonline.com/author/tell-tales/ in the section ‘Tales by Angela’ is the posts archive.

The posts reappear when deactivating the publishpress plugin and my Dev advises that it is solely to with the plugin.

Do you have an idea of what it could be? We need to resolve this today as it harms site navigation and SEO, so we may deactivate the plugin later today by the time you see this. Here is a screenshot just in case: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uNQdofk_IQJ_ZMbHxwvZ0qHrgx53XbcW?usp=sharing
