We recently changed our domain from domain.net to domain.com. Since then when we try to setup Site Kit, after the credentials page it points to our staging site. This is not the site we switched from and we have never had Site Kit setup on staging site.

We have tried uninstalling, then reinstalling plugin. Did not work.
We have tried removing all fields from database that had “googlesitekit_”. Did not work.
We tried performing setup with VPN and incognito. Did not work.

I can see on the first page when asking to sign in to Google using inspect that it somehow has our staging domain. I do not know how it has that domain as do not see that in the database anywhere.

    Please help.

Thanks for reaching out. Your old site may have have been registered on the Site Kit service, which is why you may be encountering this message. In order to troubleshoot this can you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information, you can share privately using this form.
    2. What was your staging site URL?
    3. Under “Settings > Admin Settings > Plugin Status” do you see an option to “reset” the plugin, and if so have you tried this already? Note that resetting the plugin disconnects all users, although it from your provided Site Health information it looks like there is one connected user at present.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

Excellent, glad to hear it. If you have a moment free be sure to share your thoughts on the plugin once you get a chance to checkout the various dashboards.
