Cannot get comments box to appear

Hello! I’ve read several posts on this topic in the forums but nothing I’ve tried has worked so far (overall settings, individual post settings turning on “discussion” and “comments,” etc…) I cannot see the comments box on my blog posts. Please help me fix this issue! Thank you.

Hello Angela,
Is there any particular post where you can not see the comment box? As I browsed one of the blog post and I saw the comment box there. See the screenshot http://prntscr.com/r4uhf5
I too have same issue for my webiste (https://mclaircon.com). pleas ehelp.
Hello @mclaircon, it seems like your comment is disabled from the setting. From the dashboard go to setting > discussion and check “Allow people to post a comment on the new article”. You can also manage other comment option from that page. See the screenshot http://prntscr.com/r55kx9 Don’t forget to save.
Or you can also activate the comment section for an individual page. Go the post in which you want to enable a comment section. Click the screen option on the top of the page. Check discussion and comment box. See the screenshot http://prntscr.com/r55nes Don’t forget to update.
Hello, @anupshakya – well I’m now going through posts and it seems like the issue might be fixed… I can see comment boxes on the posts I’ve checked. Working my way back through them all as I am able.
One other strange thing:
I asked a family member to leave a comment yesterday to see if she could see a box. She thought she left a comment on this post https://everydaywelcome.com/shrimp-egg-roll-in-a-bowl-paleo-whole-30/ , but it appeared in this post instead (on the back side in my admin panel/comments): https://everydaywelcome.com/grain-free-keto-chocolate-cake/ . However when I click on the comment bubble, it takes me to a link it says is dead; it does not take me to view comments. On this post, I have four comments, https://everydaywelcome.com/when-bad-things-happen-to-people-we-love but scrolling down or clicking the comment bubble (which changes the link to this: https://everydaywelcome.com/when-bad-things-happen-to-people-we-love/#respond doesn’t show anything. I tried clicking the link again and it took me to a dead “shop” page.
On this post, there are four comments, but clicking the comment bubble shows none.
https://everydaywelcome.com/waiting-to-come-to-the-surface-good-wine-and-spiritual-growth/#respond What in the world? Any thoughts on this?Hello @angelaateverydaywelcome
It’s strange that your links are redirecting.
Please try this if it works for you or not. Every time when someone comments in your post it should be approved by admin. The comment will be available in the comment tab of the dashboard. Click on Approve to approve it. Then it will appear in the related post. See the screenshot http://prntscr.com/r5alcm
If you still have the redirecting problem, I recommend you to contact your theme provider as it might be some programming problem.
@anupshakya – Regarding the above post that’s working oddly when it comes to comments:
https://everydaywelcome.com/waiting-to-come-to-the-surface-good-wine-and-spiritual-growth/
When I click the comment bubble (top of post, which says 4 comments) it takes me to this link – which is super odd and doesn’t exist in my pages on the admin side.
https://everydaywelcome.com/shop-2/It occurs to me that this might be a post that was transferred from another blog (www.saletlux.com) – could the comments not have copied? Either way, though, how do I correct this glitch that clicking the comment icon takes me to that odd link?
This post has 4 comments, https://everydaywelcome.com/when-bad-things-happen-to-people-we-love/ but clicking the comment bubble changes to this link, https://everydaywelcome.com/when-bad-things-happen-to-people-we-love/#respond and shows none.
This post has two comments https://everydaywelcome.com/encouraging-young-moms but clicking the comment bubble takes this link https://everydaywelcome.com/encouraging-young-moms/#respond and shows none.
Thank you so much for your help.

This is a programming issue. The link is not created correctly. Please contact your theme provider. They will fix this and update the theme. http://prntscr.com/r5apfk
I guess everyone who is using this theme might have the same problem.
Yes, Anup, I have approved the comments existing and it is showing them in my admin side. I will contact the theme provider – thank you!
