@dlempar Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Our plugin doesn’t save any links on the database; this will be a cache issue, please clear your hosting server/website cache and test it and let me know.
Thanks
Hello,
i have exactly the same problem, all my subpages are shown as noindex in the google search console.
The password protected links still work after I uninstalled the plugin, or they also refer to the start page.
Cache is cleared.
Robots.txt is on index
htaccess is also correct.
The source code also shows index.
But still all subpages are shwon in the Google Search Console on noindex since I started using the plugin and even after I deleted it.
I would be really grateful for help.
Kind Regards
All Cache has been cleared and the problem persists. I do not know what your plugin did, But I am not too happy at this point. I want to know what entries your plugin makes so I can clear out my website. There are redirect pages that still exist with a long URL referencing your plugin. Example: https://trident-sa.com/?password-protected=login&redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Ftrident-sa.com%2F
I need this issue resolved ASAP—thanks—Dennis
Your plugin has been deactivated and removed and this problem persists

Hi @dlempar @krueckmeyer
Thank you for choosing our Password Protected plugin for WordPress. We appreciate your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that you’re having some issues with our plugin.
Our plugin does not save anything in the database and uses WordPress actions and filters to add the password-protected page and noindex tag. Once the plugin is disabled, the page and noindex tag should disappear. It might be due to the cache if they still appear on your end.
To fix this problem, please try clearing your website cache (if you have any caching plugins installed). You can also check if your hosting company has any caching features enabled on their server.
Also, make sure you have disabled the option in the backend, which discourages the search engine crawlers. https://pk.godaddy.com/help/allow-search-engine-indexing-in-wordpress-27809
If you need help with this, please let us know what hosting company you are using, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and we hope to resolve this as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Thanks and regards,
