Cannot get widget area to work

Hi

I’ve read through all the instructions. I’ve debugged. I’ve inspected. I just cannot get it to work.

Based on the page template I’m using at http://bit.ly/1LeQjEL it doesn’t display the footer. So, I’m trying to use your plugin to display several widget areas to create the same footer as seen at http://bit.ly/1PU00dJ.

I’m trying to display the following widget areas (per inspect):
-column1 footer_col1
-column2 footer_col2
-column3 footer_col3
-footer_bottom
