Hi @colinjacques13
Sorry to hear you are having this problem.
Are you using WordPress 5.5?
Recently with the WordPress 5.5 update, some plugins that are not ready for this version because depends on the jQuery-migrate seems to be causing errors on the sidebar plugin.
As the first troubleshooting test, can you please try to install this plugin?
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/
Then check if the issue is gone.
Let us know the result you got.
Best Regards
Patrick Freitas

Hello @colinjacques13,
I am sorry to hear that it did not work initially. Could you enable the debug log to check if there are any errors? You can learn more about it in the following to articles:
Debugging in WordPress
https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/
Please let me know if you do find anything in the debug log. Now if there is nothing in the debug log, I would suggest you take a full site backup and then make a plugin conflict test.
To start making a plugin conflict test, deactivate all the plugins and then just enable Custom Sidebars plugin to see if that works. If that does work, please start enabling all the plugins one by one to check after enabling which plugin does Custom Sidebar plugin does not function normally. That is the conflicting plugin. You may need to contact the plugin author for that plugin to check whys that conflicting. YOu can learn more about plugin conflict test here:|https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/wordpress-plugin-conflicts-how-to-check-for-them-and-what-to-do/
Do let me know how that works on your end.
Thank you,
