Hi, during testing I set the WPS directory to /wp-admin, and now I can’t log in anymore. It always redirects to a 404 page. How can I disable the plugin in this situation since I can’t access the WP admin panel? If this specific setting conflicts with the default wp-admin path, it shouldn’t allow us to set it. 😊

  • There are 2 ways to recover from a broken plugin (maybe more): move the plugin folder temporarily out of the WP folder structure or trigger recovery mode which will disable all plugins. Google for how to.

    Hi,
Could you please add a question mark just before the custom login slug?

If this works, the issue comes from the browser cache or the server/CDN cache.

THANK YOU for this tip!! This just helped me get to my log-in page, which also wasn’t coming up. Can you point me to resources on what to do to resolve this so it doesn’t happen in the future? I had already cleared my browser’s cache so it must be something else. Is clearing the cache on my site enough or are there additional steps to take to clear server/CDN cache?

Hi, you can get in touch with your hosting provider to find out what caching system is in place. It may be necessary to adjust the caching level so that you no longer experience this issue.
    Best regards.
