• Hello

I installed wordpress through the website where I am hosting it. After the installation I was unable to login. The password and username are correct, it does not say they a wrong, but it still just reloads the login page. Maybe 1 out of 10 attempts I get into the dashboard, but as soon as i click on something it logs me back out. Can anyone help me?
    Thank you.

  • Hi jrad7,

Sorry to hear about the problems. Not fun.

When you write hat you installed WordPress through the website where you’re hosting it, do you mean …

    (1) That you used your web host’s auto-installer to install WordPress?

    — OR —

    (2) That you manually installed WordPress using FTP and by creating and connecting the database (perhaps through cPanel)?

If you mean (1), then it may be worth checking with your web host’s technical support to see what’s going on.

If (2), have you reviewed the instructions and information on the following page?

Hi there, thanks for your answer!

Yea I meant that I used the auto-installer. And the hosting company said they can’t help “contact wordpress” he said… very friendly bunch haha.

What do you think? Any help? I have no idea where to look. I can easily access the site through filezilla if that helps?

    Hi jrad7,

So, use this link to help setup WordPress via Filezilla:

Does your web host have cPanel installed? If so, you can access your database there via mySQL or phpMyAdmin depending on what tasks you need to achieve.
