Hello! I have trouble logging in to my WordPress install using my Android phone. I am running WordPress 6.1.1 with WP 2FA 2.3.0, running on PHP 7.3 and MySQL 8.0. I created an application password in the settings, but it doesn’t work. The login works perfectly well if I disable WP 2FA; when I enable it, the app simply refuses to let me log in, stating that the user name or password is wrong. This is simply not possible as I am using a password manager (Keepass2Android) to paste the password, and the fact that the password is correct is further confirmed by the app allowing me to log in as soon as I disable WP 2FA (with the “real” password, not with the application password).

Do you have any idea about what might be going on? Thanks!

    Hello @slater91

Thank you for your message and for using our plugin.

The Application Password is a WordPress core feature and not a feature of our plugin. I’m afraid that the moment WP 2FA does not have support for Application Passwords or for the Android WordPress app, sorry. However, these are things we would like to support in the future.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help at this stage. Should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
