    Hi,

During the last couple of weeks I have started to get this message trying to log into my site via /wp-admin/:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home3/vxa2/public_html/wp-content/plugins/widgets-on-pages/public/class-widgets-on-pages-public.php:98) in /home3/vxa2/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1179

I can’t see any whitespace on line 98 in the file mentioned in the error message. The version of the Widgets on Pages plugin is 1.0.1.

Has anybody else had this issue and been able to resolve it? (Version of WordPress is 4.7).

    Thanks
    Simon

    Hi @saykroyd,

Thanks for the new thread and posting the details as requested.

There was an issue with version v1.0.1 that caused this, and I was forced to rollback the stable version to 0.0.12, which can be downloaded here. If you install this older version you should find that all is working again.

I’m currently testing out a fix to the upgrade process and should hopefully have a new version out in the next couple of days.

Sorry for any issues this has caused.

    Hi Todd,

Thanks for that info. As I can’t currently log on via wp-admin, what is the best way to uninstall the existing plugin? Do I simply remove the ‘widgets-on-pages’ directory beneath my plugins folder via ftp?

And then follow your install instructions in the readme.txt file in the 0.0.12 version?

    Thanks
    Simon

Yes you can replace the existing directory with the one in the zip file mentioned in the instructions.

    Hi Todd,

That worked perfectly. Many thanks for your help/advice.

Great news @saykroyd, thanks for letting me know how you got on.

Testing for the new version is taking slightly longer than I hoped… I can’t tell you how many WordPress instances I have running on my laptop right now 😀
