Cannot install plugins or update them

    I recently upgraded wordpress to 2.8.4 and i noticed i needed a plugin updated. I clicked upgrade automatically and it usually works fine, but it is now showing this error:

    “Downloading update from http://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/easy-adsenser.2.7.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    Could not copy file /public_html/wp-content/upgrade/easy-adsenser.2.7/easy-adsenser/screenshot-1.gif”

    A similar error appears when i try to install a new plugin. I looked in where the files are stored and inside the wp-content foler there is now an upgrade folder where it contains the wordpress 2.8.41. Please can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
