Hi,
I think you have disabled WP STAGING on the staging site or told WP STAGING to disable the extra admin login.
If you don’t get any admin bar, you likely disabled the admin bar for the user under wp-admin > users
You can still login here: http://arsymphonyguild.org/asog-staging/wp-admin
You can also contact us here if this does not solve your issue: https://wp-staging.com/support/
Cheers
René
Thank you for the quick reply. Would those changes have been manual edits in the PHP files? I ask because I haven’t done any.
The login link you sent seems to have a Wordfence issue blocking me, and now I find that I am unable to log out of WordPress in general without getting that Wordfence error. Perhaps I can test by disabling Wordfence for a moment.
Thank you,
BD
Update: it was a Wordfence issue. I found my IP was blocked, unblocked it, and now I am able to access the editing environment for the staging site.
Can you point me to what needs to be changed to open as I was doing before, simple clicking “Open” in the WP-STAGING plugin?
Thank you,
BD
Hi BD,
There is no button you can click from the live site to get logged in automatically into the staging site, perhaps that worked for you before as a coincidence.
Also, if you are logged into the staging site, then you closed the browser tab, then immediately, clicked on the “open” link of the staging site on WP STAGING plugin’s page, you will be redirected to the staging site and you will find yourself logged in, because cookies in the browser still there, and you didn’t log out from the staging site yet, so this might give you the impression that once you clicked the “open” link, you are redirected and logged into the staging site.
Let me know if you have any further questions,
Alaa
