Cannot pick a featured image

    Hi, I’ve been testing 5.9 version and found that a listing owner could not pick an image out of all uploaded as the featured one, which was convenient before this new version.

    You grab bars of images only for the order of images displayed in the front, but no featured image selection available. Or have I missed something in using the new version?

    Hi @moonyell

    You can still do this in the listing, no problem. When you edit a listing on the front-end, use the grab-bars to move the desired image to the top of the list. There is a text designation underneath the top image that says “Thumbnail Image” — that is the featured image for the listing.

    If you are referring to the Featured Image setting in the WordPress backend, that setting is not necessary for the listings in the directory and so that’s been removed.

    I had tested by re-order images, but the newly-first image did not show as the featured one.
    The experience of image control is not as good as old version, in my eyes.

    Thanks for getting back to me on this. I understand that the change is different, and I’m sorry it’s not working for you. I can’t reproduce the problem on my test site. Have you cleared your cache? Made sure the changes were saved before testing the change?

    Those are the primary things that will get in the way of not seeing the new thumbnail image.
