• Since I updated to WordPress 5.4 this morning I am not able to publish my posts anymore. I am only able to schedule posts, but when I do this the post will still not be published on the scheduled time. Under “Status & Visibility” I see the Visibility and Publish text, but not the linked text next to it (which is used for the publishing). I use Chrome, but tried to do it on Edge aswell, which did not work. I cleared my chache and logged back in and saw the linked text for like 0.5 seconds before it disappeared again. I tried disabling all my plugins and trying again but the links where still not there. Is there anyway I can fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Full Site Editing is planned by the end of the year, so I do recommend trying to get used to new WordPress features and making the most of them (they can do some pretty cool stuff).

That having been said, I also understand that you need your site to work.

You can try installing the Classic Editor:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/classic-editor/
That should help you figure out if the problem is related to the editor itself, or to something else on your site.

I fixed it by using the classic editor, thanks! But if I get this correctly I wont be able to use the new editor to publish any posts until the end of this year?

Nope. I’m saying that while the Classic Editor is (luckily) a temporary fix, I’d advise trying to get to the root cause so that can be fixed, since the development on WordPress is kind of rapid right now and being left behind isn’t ideal. 🙂
