On a clean, new site on WP 4

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class QM_Backtrace in /var/www/threads/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/query-monitor/Backtrace.php on line 17

grepping through the site, I see QM_Backtrace only in the plugin’s files.

Same issue happens here, fresh WP 4.0 install, no other plugins active.

So I deleted the plugin, worked on the site for a while, then reinstalled it and it activated without a problem.

This is probably the same as this issue: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/fatal-error-1136

The symlink will be pointing to the wrong location which causes the redeclaration error. I have a fix upcoming in the next version of Query Monitor. You can fix it in the meantime by deleting the existing wp-content/db.php file, or by deactivating and reactivating Query Monitor.

Confirmed – deleting wp-content/db.php and then re-activating it fixes it.
