• Hi,

I was having issues with Contact Form 7 and heard that Postman SMTP could solve my problem… and it did using the Gmail API! However, I realized that I need to change my account as I want to use a generic account instead of my own one for this application. I thought it was just a matter of going to Google Developers Console with my different Google Account and going through the same process again such as creating credentials for OAuth Client, changing the old client ID and client secret on WordPress settings and granting permission on Google on the different account.

    This was not the case.
I tried another different Google Account, deleting and creating new credentials, remove and regrant permission on Google, reinstalling Postman SMTP plugin, Reset Postman SMTP plugin and reconfigure but no matter what I try, I keep getting the following error when sending a test email:

Error calling POST https://www.googleapis.com/gmail/v1/users/me/messages/send: (403) Access Not Configured. The API (Gmail API) is not enabled for your project. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your configuration.

The funny thing is, I can always revert back to using my old account by changing the settings back…

Please help me as I am now out of options.

Please refer to diagnostics for details…

    It should be.

The API (Gmail API) is not enabled for your project. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your configuration.

The obvious question is… is the Gmail API enabled in your new account’s Developer Console?

    Hi Jason,

I apologize for the late reply, I was on holidays.
Thanks for the kind reply, I rechecked configuration on the Developer Console and I found the setting to enable the Gmail API. Was a bit confused because I didn’t enable it the same way I did on my old account.

Your plugin is super simple to use and I would say the Google Developer Console is hard to navigate and not as intuitive as your awesome plugin.

Very happy with your support as well, I wish you the best for your future success with this plugin and any other developments you do.

    Thanks again!
