Hello, when someone tries to login with wrong credentials too many times he gets the message that he is locked out. But I cannot find the element in the settings where I can release the IP?

In the mail I receive there is the text ,,Aussperrungen können unter dem Abschnitt „Aktive Aussperrungen“ der Einstellungsseite freigegeben werden.”

But I cannot find such an option where it should be?

  • Hi @michaelpersch,

Translated in English the text is:

Release lockouts from the Active Lockouts section of the settings page.

This is still a reference to a former sidebar widget on the Settings page which no longer exists. So no wonder you can’t find it 😉

The text should be changed (by iThemes) to something like:

Release lockouts from the Active Lockouts card on the Dashboard page.

+++++ To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes +++++

Hi @michaelpersch, thanks for reaching out! As mentioned by nlpro, you can release the lockout from the Active Lockouts card in the iTSec Dashboard. You can check these articles for more information:
    How Do I Release Lockouts?
How to Release iThemes Security Pro Lockouts

Also, the Active Lockouts are temporary and, by default, last for 15 mins (you can configure this in iTSec Global Settings). After that, iTSec will remove the lockout from the Active Lockouts card and will automatically release the lockout.

We’ll also update the text referencing the old settings page on the Lockouts notification.

    I hope this helps!
