Cannot remove blue border on swatch

I used custom css to change the color and style of borders on variation swatches. On desktop, it looks perfectly fine as expected but on mobile and tablet, there is an extra light colored blue border around the variation swatch when selected. I can’t seem to remove it. If you touch elsewhere on these devices, the extra blue border disppears. It looks like it has something to do with css selected:hover

Is there anyway to fix it?

I wish I can post an image attachment or provide a link but I would like to keep my site information private from the public.
