Hey @cag8f,
Thanks for contacting our support. This is not related to File Manager plugin, plugin deactivation and activation depends upon WordPress admin. Please remove it from FTP or Cpanel if still facing issues with it.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure why you marked this as resolved though–I still have follow-up questions.

Can you clarify what you mean by ‘WordPress admin’ in this case?

Is this to say that, if I remove the plugin via FTP, that the plugin will not return automatically?

Hello. Is there any update to this?
Hey @cag8f,
Can you clarify what you mean by ‘WordPress admin’ in this case? -> WP Admin Panel. you can delete and deactivate the plugin from the wp-admin panel and also check you have logged in permissions for deactivating and delete the plugin. Plugin Activation and Deactivation managed by WordPress Admin panel Area. It’s not a plugin issue. Yes, if you remove it from your Cpanel server or FTP manully it will not come again.

I am still not sure what you mean by, “plugin deactivation and activation depends upon WordPress admin.”

OK. I will now remove the plugin via FTP, and monitor it. If the plugin returns, I will open a new ticket. Does that sound OK?
