    Hi David,
    Greetings.

I have changed to another Google Drive Account.
I am not able to insert
    Google Drive Folder
name. I cannot delete the former Google Drive Folder name. Hence, I cannot replace the former Google Drive Folder name with the new one.
Is this configured in UpdraftPlus Backup or there is some other reason?
    The messages I get are

Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account. However, subsequent access attempts failed:

backup_2014-05-24-1107_MY_DOCTOR_TELLS_089e7525d1fb-plugins.zip: Failed to upload to Google Drive

    The error_log is

    Hi,

Please can you copy and paste for me the text displayed under the part in the UpdraftPlus settings where it displays your Google Drive folder name?

    David,
Is this what you mean David?

Google Drive Folder: This is NOT a folder name. It is an ID number internal to Google Drive –25-characters-
To be able to set a custom folder name, use UpdraftPlus Premium.

    Thanks for your personal attention.

    Ashok

    Hi,

    Your original question…

I cannot replace the former Google Drive Folder name with the new one.
Is this configured in UpdraftPlus Backup or there is some other reason?

… is answered by that part you copied and pasted, is it not?

    Hello David,
    Greetings.

    Google Drive Folder
    zxzvjj[p—–25–characters mmmmxx

—-> There is no corresponding folder or backup happening on this number on Google Drive.

UpdraftPlus is reliable (I have rated *****) plugin.
I haven’t used any other backup plugin.

I had no difficulty in UpdraftPlus configuration then. It was not an UpdraftPlus Premium plugin.

Am I making a mistake somewhere? Do I need to check something?

Thanks for your expertise and time,

    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,

To reset the folder name, go into the ‘expert settings’ (link at the bottom of the UD settings page), and press the “Wipe Settings” button. Then it’ll change the folder name to “UpdraftPlus” (and be fixed at that, in the free version).

    Best wishes,
    David

    Hi David,
    Greetings
I finally realized that UpdraftPlus does backup restore on GoogleDrive ONLY for premium members.

The Google Drive Folder named “UpdraftPlus” cannot be edited. Folder with the same name on Googe drive does not store any backup files.

There is no way to use the code that comes after #folders/ even if one creates “UpdraftPlus” folder on the drive.

Meaning, unless you are a premium member you cannot use UpdraftPlus for Backup Restore on Google Drive.

    Am I correct?

Thanks for making this premium feature available to us for long time. Regards,
    Dr. Ashok Koparday

    Hi,

You can use Google Drive for backup and restore on the free version, and thousands of users are (which you can see from the forum). Your folder name that is used will be “UpdraftPlus”.

David, I am sorry for sounding bitter.

I spent substantial time configuring the folder ‘UpdraftPlus’ on the Google Drive, but did not succeed.

Your reply is reassuring. I shall try again.

I have used Updraft Plus before. UpdraftPlus being reliable it emboldens one to do web development without fear.

Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account. However, subsequent access attempts failed:
    • forbidden: Forbidden

I have the error messages and logs.

I’ll get back to work again.

Thanks for your reply and patience,
    Ashok
