On the Wall, when user clicks Reply to reply to a Comment, the page scrolls the Comment to the top of the screen but does not provide a Reply input text field. The URL of the page also updates to oasisriocaula.com/activity/#acomment-198, where the #acomment-XXX is added. It is as if clicking on Reply for a Comment just scrolls the page to the anchor (-XXX) for that particular Comment instead of displaying the Reply text field.

The behavior of the Reply button is different on a member’s Activity page in their Profile. It works correctly from that page. Clicking on Reply for a Comment scrolls the Comment to the top of the screen and presents the text input field as expected.

This is cumbersome and unintuitive since members tend to want to reply to a Comment on the Wall as opposed to having to go search for the Comment in the original Poster’s profile page.

Is there a way to correct the Reply behavior on the Wall?

    Thanks.

    Hello @cseah

Please follow the next steps to help you identify the issue:

    • Make sure you are using the most updated versions of Youzify, WordPress & your theme.
    • Deactivate all of your plugins. If this solves the problem, gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
    • If you have a caching plugin, make sure you deactivate it, or even better – purge the cache.
    • Change your WordPress theme to WordPress TwentySeventeen (or other default WordPress theme).
    • On your WordPress root folder, edit the wp-config.php and set the value of WP-DEBUG to true.

If you have followed all these steps and you’re still encountering difficulties, please let me know. 🙂

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.
