Cannot see Edit button

When viewing my custom post I am not able to see the Edit button at the top of my Dashboard. I am only able to edit it by going into the dashboard, finding the post, clicking edit and then can edit and finally submit for review. I would like to access the edit button when viewing the post. Resetting the theme is not an option. Do you have any support for this?
