• Hey there,

I can’t seem to get my plugins to work. After uploading and activating them, I don’t see them on my left sidebar.

I’ve checked with my Hosting provider Godaddy and my wp-content folder has all the plugin folders in there. With the permission icon. So we think the problem is on the WP end of things.

When I downloaded my first plugin, I was not prompted to give my ftp info either.
    Please help!

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Ok, I’ve tried the Twenty Eleven theme. Logged out and back in again. It didn’t do anything.

Where can I find the wp-options folder? Based on the link you gave me, after I deactivate them, what do I do?
I have tried deactivating all the plugins and deleting some. I only kept one just to test with. The All-in-One-SEO plugin. I downloaded a fresh one but still nothing.

If I download WordPress again, won’t I lose all my content? I had problems with themes before and had to uninstall WP and re-install it again. I lost all my content that way and had to start all over again – still with no plugins functioning.

Both my blogs have this problem. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I’ve searched through the forum or the past 5 days trying to find a thread that can help me. They were slightly different situations or the solution was not posted.
If anyone has had the same problem and whose figured it out, please help me!
