Cannot set frontpage defaults to posts page

I have set homepage as normal in WP but it will not display, instead defaulting to a posts page, that does not even exist nor been set.
hard refresh, incognito, different browsers, all show the front page / toip level url as a blog post page instead of the page that has been set.
Has never happened before, ever. No cache on WP, none in hosting, no CDN, nothing that would interfere.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

Exactly. All pages are there. And there is a page that is set to be shown as the homepage which I can view and edit.
Yet it still shows this – and that post doesn’t even exist. There is no caching anywhere.
It’s a very weird situation
On the left its a chrome incognito disabling all caching (but I have not flushed the dns cache)
On the right, its a firefox private with brand new dns cache.
You should check the logs to see whats going on here. It’s like the server is pointing to two different sites. https://dnschecker.org/#A/aftermath-club.co.uk and the A is pointing to a lot of IP from different ISP
