? I don’t know what you are talking about. I am asking how to register a brandnew website and get the activation key for my client. On https://account.mailpoet.com/signup there is no way to continue with the registration.

Could you please confirm your email and your website url ?

This is a new website. I am trying to instruct my client (who also has an admin account to the website) how to register for a business plan, so they can pay from their own bank account. Why is it important to know the URL and email? How can a new client register?

You are not understanding my question. How do I subscribe with an email address that is not connected with wordpress.com ? Is it mandatory to create an account with wordpress.com? The only button I see on https://account.mailpoet.com/signup is “Connect with wordpress.com”. My client wants to buy your product, but does not want to create an account with wordpress.com.

Hi @netschmiede24, we recently switched to require WordPress.com account to sign-up for a MailPoet account. MailPoet and WordPress.com are both part of the same company, Automattic, so the data are not shared with a 3rd-party.

As this is also an experiment, I temporarily enabled signups via email and password, although I’d still recommend signing up via WordPress.com as it comes with better security and easier support in the future.

Thanks, I will instruct my client to sign up now.
