That indicates there is something about your site that’s causing that behavior. What country are you accessing your site from? PayPal uses geolocation for payment methods like PayLater which can affect it rendering.
The UK and £. Unfortunately I cannot see any images hosted on imgur as it’s not available in the UK.
With Pay Later enabled, it shows up correctly on the checkout page, but the demo section where you can sort the buttons, Pay later does not display. See attached.
I think the best compromise here, since we can’t ensure the button will always render because of Geolocation and other factors, is to add a placeholder button if the button.isEligible() call returns false.
That way you can at least use the sort feature regardless of eligibility.
