Hello chcw,
Could you try doing the same thing while having a browser console open to see if you get any javascript errors on the page?

Hi,
Thank you.
I am using FireFox, and the console said:
“Firefox cannot build the connection to wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data”
How to fix the problem?
Hello again chcw,
this seems to be a Jetpack error. You can try to disable Jetpack just for a moment and see if you can run a scan with Jetpack off. The Jetpack issue has not been resolved yet but you can read more and contact support for Jetpack here.

Hi,
Thanks.
Now the scan seems to start but it stops quickly with very little info:
[May 02 16:56:12] Scanning comment with Author: xxxx status Email: [email protected] Source IP: ###.###.###.###
[May 02 16:56:12] Checking ## host keys against Wordfence scanning servers.
[May 02 16:56:12] Done host key check.
Are you sure WordFense is working properly?
Thanks
Hello,
That doesn’t look like a full scan it looks like Wordfence live activity (scanning comments). If you click the blue “Start a Wordfence scan” button, do you see anything appear in “Scan Summary” box right under that button?

Hi,
Thank you.
I deactive Jetpack and then click the “Start a Wordfense Scan” button, the button will become “Request a new Scan”, but after a few seconds, the button turned back to “Start a Wordfense scan” again.
Nothing appear in the Web Console.
And nothing appear in Scan Summary.
Hello again chcw,
if you go to Wordfence page “Diagnostics” and look at the section “Connectivity” does it say that your site can connect to Wordfence severs?

Hi,
I check that and find
Connecting to Wordfence servers (http) OK
Connecting to Wordfence servers (https) OK
Thanks
Hello,
would it be possible to check the error logs on your server? Most web hosts allow you to view them via their administration interface. That would tell us if there are any errors that might be preventing the scan from concluding.
You can also try to enable “debugging mode” in Wordfence and run a scan with that on. That might provide more information in the Scan Activity boxes. You can enable debugging mode at the bottom of the page “Diagnostics”. Please be aware that debugging mode uses a lot of resources so remember to turn it off when you are done.
