Cannot syndicate https sites

    Hi, I realize you’ve been asked this question before and it turned out to be a cURL problem, but I have syndicated https sites before with no problem. However, today I tried to syndicate two of them and got the error below both times, whether I had entered the https or http version of the url. If it is indeed a cURL issue, how do I go about fixing it? I am using the most recent versions of WordPress (on my site and the sites I want to syndicate) and Feed WordPress. Please let me know if there is any further information you need to tell what is going on and how to resolve it.

    Diagnostic information
    HTTP request failure

    cURL error 35: gnutls_handshake() failed: A TLS fatal alert has been received.
    HTTP Transport:

    string(12) “WP_Http_Curl”

    Also, when validating one of the feeds, I get this response:
    Server returned [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:14077438:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error

    The other site validates, but the feed url still gets the error above when I attempt to syndicate it.

    One of these target sites is hosted on GoDaddy and the other is on HostGator.

    FWP version 2016-1213
    feedwordpresshttpauthenticator.class.php has curl 8 code lines
    2 + 13 + 113 + 136 + 144 + 151 + 167 + 169
    and
    feedwordpress.php has 2 curl code lines
    143 + 993

    And how do we solve this ?

    It would be great to learn how to overcome this. I really need to syndicate these two member sites…they have been waiting but I don’t seem to be getting any information that will help me.
