    Getting this message…I have tried automatic update and manual update. I checked with my web host (Host Gator) and they said the permissions were correct. Please advise:

    The update cannot be installed because some files could not be copied. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. Public/SmartSlider3/Widget/Shadow/ShadowImage/Assets/shadow

    Plugin update failed.

    Hi @brazenmedia

    As the error message states the problem is connected to that we couldn’t copy some of our files to your server for some reason. It is either a permission issue or maybe a firewall prevented the installation of that file.

    Your server host should have an error log that contains all error messages happening. They should check that error log, and it will tell them what is the problem exactly.
    If they can not fix the problem, then you could download the .zip installer from our official plugin page:

    and install that over FTP like we suggest here:

    This way you could bypass some server specific limitations.
