• I updated the plug in yesterday and my site completely disappeared. I had my host deactivate all my plugins and the site came back. However, when I went to reactivate Jetpack, I got this error: Update Failed: Could not remove the old plugin.
When I try to delete it, I get this error:
Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) jetpack/jetpack.php.

As it is not active, it does not appear in my dashboard, so I cannot access the setting to debug it or contact support.

That error is suggesting that your server may have balked at some point during the update. Could you access your site’s file directory via FTP or your hosting company’s control panel, then delete the wp-content/plugins/jetpack folder? You should then be able to log into your site and reinstall Jetpack via Plugins->Add New.

Regarding the original failure, could you ask your hosting provider to help pull the error logs for your site. For a failure like what you describe, there should be something in the error log to help narrow down what actually caused the problem initially.

    Cheers!
